TROMBONE SHORTY & ORLEANS AVENUE, closed out the 2018 Jacksonville Jazz Festival with an amazing nonstop high energy show. Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and each member of his band is gifted in their own own right. Each made the most of their time in the spotlight. The group together delivers an intense and electric charge during the entire performance through a fantastic combination of rock, soul, funk and New Orleans jazz.

Andrews hails from the Tremé neighborhood in New Orleans’ 6th Ward, getting his nickname at four years old when he was observed by his older brother marching in a street parade wielding a trombone twice as long as the kid was high.
